That is the conundrum now isn’t it. We have become hungry, hungry hippos. All we do is work for foreign owned businesses and buy foreign produced goods. We have devolved. Our government has let it happen through foreign trade deals, our politicians have sold out for taxpayer paid benefits, and our national pride is a facade. We manufacture nothing. We service nothing. We are now just bottom feeding consumers.
Worse yet, what we do still produce, stupid SUV’s come to mind, are inefficient, fat, regurgitated designs that further our consumption of foreign products, OIL.
I challenge our US members to stop buying Chinese made products and support your local US suppliers. Pay the extra few bucks for national pride. Of course, make sure it isn’t crap, but if it’s comparable crap, then buy it.
If you have to buy foreign made products, go with Mexico first. You can proactively help the illegal immigration problem too buy supporting the Mexican economy. If they have jobs, then maybe the illegals will go home and stop bleeding our social services dry.
That’s the end of my simpleton plan. Oh yeah, duck and cover. There. Now I’m done.
